The new Oxford American dictionary which annually chooses the word of the year has recently selected unfriend as the word of the year for 2009. The newly-coined word unfriend means removing someone as a friend on a social networking site such as cyworld for that matter... Unfriend was named the word of year for its wide use as well as lasting potential as a word of significance ..Come to think of it though, i think it's a bit sad because wide usage of the word unfriend clearly shows how eaily people turn their backs on their friends or acquaintancees these days.
